Description
This fabulously embellished 1960s handbag by Veldoré of Houston has a base of black wool velour, trimmed with gold lace and braid, beaded needlepoint flowers, gold metal feathers, rhinestones and gold-painted roses. It’s quite a feast for the eyes! The front panel only is embellished, while the back, base, and sides were left plain. Probably so as not to snag on your outfit when you carry the bag! The gold metal frame fastens with a hinged clasp. The top-handle bag is lined with black acetate taffeta and has one zip pocket. In very good condition, the bag has few minor marks from normal use to the lining fabric, and the 2 fabric roses are bit flattened form its long storage. This flashy, fun 1960s evening bag is otherwise in great condition: all the beaded, glued trim appears intact.
