The red white and blue plaid on this deadstock pair of late 1960s short shorts reminds me of a Union Jack—very swinging 60s London inspired! These truly short, super cute vintage 1960s shorts are made of mid-weight 100% cotton canvas fabric that is still crisp with its original fabric finish. 2 horizontal welt pockets adorn the front of the hips. Vertical darts shape the hips in back, below the narrow waistband. The shorts fasten with a front hook and metal zipper fly. In excellent to mint condition, these bold plaid print 1960s shorts still have their original hangtag, by “Jeanie”. Since they are unworn, they may shrink a bit when first laundered, and the crisp cotton fabric will soften up with repeated washings, unless you prefer to starch and iron them.
