Description
This long and narrow, black patent vinyl clutch evening bag dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s. An envelope style, the bag has a fabulous starburst stripe pattern of pearly off-white vinyl inset into the curved front flap, which fastens with a snap. The bag is lined with black rayon satin, with 1 slip pocket and 1 zipper pocket inside. The longer shape allows this true vintage handbag to accommodate modern necessities like a cell phone—at least my rather old iPhone fit into it just fine. Please check the measurements, though, since it is rather small by modern standards. In very good condition, the bag has minor scuffs to the shiny vinyl surface from normal wear, but no other issues to note. The shiny patent vinyl is vegan-friendly. The clutch style is a classic for evening, but the handbag will also work well for daytime—as long as you don’t need to carry too much!
