Description
This darling sleeveless 1960s shift dress features a 3-tiered, ruffled hem in solid bright colors, echoing the colorful black floral print cotton fabric, above. Each tier of the ruffled hem is edged with black piping. The shift style dress was designed to fit a bit loosely through the waist and hips, with diagonal bust darts for shaping the upper bodice. An off-center, front button closure opens the dress from the round neckline to the hip. The pearly plastic buttons have a rust-red finish that reminds me of frosty nail polish! There is a small nick in the finish of 1 of these buttons. There is also 1 very faint, small spot on the front of the dress, well hidden by the busy print (see close-up photos). The dress has 1 pocket in the right side seam. The medium-weight, plain weave cotton fabric is unlined. This sassy black floral print cotton 1960s shift dress is in very good condition, quite sturdy and ready for many more outings! My last 2 photos show the dress unpinned from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size and shape.
