Description
A deadstock early 1960s cocktail dress in silver metallic lurex printed with aqua blue roses, this unworn beauty will be dazzling at your next party or event! The sleeveless blouson-style bodice has a high, round neckline. It is gathered into the fitted waist seam, above the nearly straight, narrow skirt. The bodice has diagonal bust darts, and vertical darts shape the hips. A small kick pleat at the back hem allows for ease of walking, or dancing! A super-skinny tie belt cinches the dress waist. It fastens in back with a metal zipper. The medium-weight, sparkling silver rayon and mylar blend fabric of the dress is lined with white rayon taffeta, which has a few faintly yellowed marks from its long storage. They cannot be seen from the outer side when the dress is worn (see lining and close-up photos). In very good condition with its original tags still attached, this fabulous silver-metallic 1960s deadstock dress looks great, its only issue the already mentioned marks on the lining. Although the dress was never worn, it has been recently dry-cleaned for freshness.
