Description
This deadstock vintage set of 3 child’s-sized 1950s pinafore circle skirts has an adorable mid-century novelty print of juicy oranges on a white background. The print fabric is a lightweight, plain weave cotton. The waistbands fasten with a single button above a small side seam slit (no zipper). The pinafore straps fasten to the skirts with 4 buttons, and can be removed if needed. The skirts’ fabric is gathered into the flat waistband, adding extra fullness the shape. The skirt waists have elastic at the back section only, for a slightly adjustable fit. They are labeled vintage kid’s sizes 3, 6, and 6X (see measurements for each size). In very good to excellent condition, unworn with their original hangtags, the skirts have a tiny bit of dinginess their long storage, but no other issues to note. I believe that this will improve with their first washing, but I have not laundered the skirts in order to preserve the original fabric finish. This set of 3 deadstock 1950s pinafore skirts is a fun find for a costumer or collector of vintage novelty prints. I’d love to see them styled for a family photo!
