Description
This 1950s patio skirt in a rich shade of royal blue is trimmed with rows of metallic silver rickrack on each tiered section. The fitted waistband fastens with a single plastic button above a side seam metal zipper. Below the waist, many tiny gathers in each tier of the skirt add fullness to its shape. (The skirt is shown here with a fluffy crinoline underneath, which is not included.) The lightweight cotton gauze fabric is unlined. The skirt is in very good condition, with 2 tiny holes and 2 tiny spots, where the metal clips of the hanger it was stored on for many years marked the waistband fabric. It is sturdy and looks great otherwise; these tiny waistband flaws are unlikely to be seen when the skirt is worn. The skirt was originally part of a 1950s patio set with a matching blouse. Although this blouse is sadly too damaged to wear, I will include it with your purchase, in case you want to use the fabric.
