Description
This purple suede leather fringed miniskirt from the late 1960s is the ultimate in hippie chic! From strolling the streets of San Francisco to jamming on stage at a rock festival, this 60s mini skirt would have fit right in at any Summer of Love happening. The soft, supple suede is a slightly blue-toned deep purple shade. 4 inches of fringe finish the mid-thigh-length hem. The skirt waist has elastic, which allows for some variation in fit (see waist measurement). The lightweight, gold-tone metal chain trim across the skirt front is hooked on to the gold buttons, and can be removed easily. The skirt is lined with purple acetate satin, to just above the fringed hem. In good, totally wearable condition, the skirt has some fading/color variation to the suede at each side seam. This is definitely more noticeable on the left side than on the right, and more noticeable at the left side waistband than at the left side hem. (The skirt was probably hanging in a closet with the left side more exposed to light during its long storage.) There is also one tiny spot below the chain trim, and a few minor scuffs to the surface of the suede from normal wear. I have included photos of the skirt laid flat in natural lighting, as well as under my bright photography lights, which hopefully gives a clear idea of the fading. I believe that the skirt still looks great, but it is not perfect! There are no odors (other than the smell of natural leather) or other issues to note. Grab your go-go boots and get groovy in this fabulous fringed suede 1960s miniskirt! As seen in my last photos, the skirt looks pretty fabulous with this 1960s-70s purple suede fringed vest, size XS-S (not included).
