Description
This fabulously fringed purple suede vest from the late 1960s or early 70s gives groovy cowgirl meets psychedelic rock star vibes! The vest is trimmed with a lavish amount of fringe, from around the back and down the front of the neckline, then cascading down and around to the slightly curved back hem, with a center notch. The vest has no fastenings, although you could tie it closed with 2 of the front pieces of fringe, if you like. It was designed to fit a bit loosely, as shown, but since it has no closures, it could also be worn more open in front on a slightly larger size. I’d estimate best fit for a modern XS to S, but please check the measurements below for more size information. There are diagonal bust darts to shape the upper bodice. The gorgeous dark purple suede is unlined. In very good condition, the vest has just a hint of fading along its side seams, and a few of the fringe strands have lighter marks at their ends. Neither of these issues is likely to be noticed when the vest is worn. It has no odors (except the natural smell of leather) or other issues to note. Whether you are going for a rhinestone cowgirl look or Summer of Love rock festival style, this late 1960s-70s fringed leather vest will take you there! As seen in my last photo, the vest loks pretty fabulous with this purple suede 1960s mini skirt, size XS (not included).
