Description
A great example of 1980s clothing imitating retro 1950s or 60s styles, this bubblegum pink and black windowpane check wool pencil skirt dates from the early to mid 80s, but has the look of a much older piece. Interestingly, the skirt was made by Jack Winter, an American clothing company that made lots of great sportswear in the 1950s and 1960s. So they were channeling their earlier designs, here! The mid-weight wool has a twill weave/diagonal texture, and is lined with black acetate taffeta. The skirt is fastened with a nylon zipper at the center back, along with a single button at the fitted waistband. There is a kick pleat at the back hem. Happily, the skirt has 2 slit pockets, 1 at each hip—hooray! It has a fairly curvy fit, so please check the waist and hip measurements carefully. This pink wool plaid retro 1980s pencil skirt is in excellent condition with no issues to note, freshly dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
