Description
This deadstock, pastel pink linen-textured 1960s shift dress has the cutest floral wreath appliqués surrounding the decorative buttons trimming its center front. This narrow front panel is a flat pleat hiding the nylon zipper used to open the dress from collar to hip. Small snaps help secure this front opening. The short-sleeved dress has curving darts extending into princess seaming, from bust to hem in front. Shorter darts from mid-back to hip shape the back waist slightly. The shift-style dress is intended to have a somewhat loose fit, as reflected in my range of measurements, below. The linen textured, mid-weight fabric is a blend of acetate and either rayon or cotton. Unworn, in very good to excellent condition, this sweet 1960s day dress has only 1 minor issue to note: 2 of the pink plastic buttons have a more peachy tone, having yellowed a bit from long storage. My last photo shows the dress unclipped from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size.
