Description
This novelty print 1950s sleeveless blouse in cool pastel, icy pink rayon features a design of stylized, mid-century leaves in blue and fuchsia. The blouse has a folded high collar above a row of pearly pink plastic buttons that fasten it down the back. Diagonal bust darts and vertical darts at the front and back waist give it a fitted shape. The hem is serged--intended to be worn tucked in. The silky, lightweight rayon fabric has a shiny surface and a subtle horizontal rib pattern. In very good condition, recently dry-cleaned, the blouse has a small mend hidden underneath the last button and one small, faint mark just to the right of the center-front (see close-up photos). Neither is likely to be noticed when it is worn. The whimsical leaf novelty print on this sleeveless 1950s is quintessentially mid-century!
