Description
This off-white or cool-toned cream 1950s hat has a dramatic center front bow. Its small, nearly flat crown is trimmed with lots of self-fabric-covered buttons, giving it a polka-dotted appearance—too cute! This rather unique hat has 2 triangular-shaped cutouts in its crown, giving it a bit of a space age 50s vibe. The off-white fabric is crisp and shiny with a ribbed texture. It is possibly a blend of acetate and rayon that looks and feels similar to faille, but with a less regular pattern of ribs. The hat is lined with off-white rayon taffeta. 2 lucite combs are attached inside the hat, to help keep it in place when worn. The pale tan inner grosgrain band has a small amount of discoloration from make-up in front, which will not be seen when the hat is worn. In very good condition, this true vintage 1950s hat would be perfect for a registry office wedding or a more casual bridal outfit.
