Description
An elegant 1950s maternity top in navy blue lightweight wool flannel, this sleeveless A-line blouse or tunic is horizontally striped with bands of navy rayon satin braid. The high boatneck is quite narrow, with deeply cut in, diagonal arm openings. It would look great worn over a fitted long-sleeve tee or turtleneck, for winter. The blouse shape is fitted at the shoulder, then flaring out to an extremely full hem, like a 1950s circle skirt! The unlined navy wool fabric is very fine and soft. It has one tiny mend at the back of the right shoulder (see close-up photo). This “I Love Lucy” style 1950s maternity top is in very good condition, freshly dry-cleaned, with no other issues to note.
The gray skirt shown with the blouse is part of this early 1960s maternity skirt suit, and is not included.
