Description
This dome- or saucer-shaped 1950s hat combines stripes of navy blue and white straw on its curved, wide-brimmed crown. Under this curved outer layer, the hat has a curved, close-fitting base in matching striped straw that hugs the head with flexible, wired edges to accommodate most head sizes. 2 circles of navy and white straw trimmed with a single sparkling rhinestone look like tiny eyeballs attached to each side of the crown! The edge of the downward-curved, outer layer of the crown is wired to help keep its shape. In very good condition, this charming spring or summer 1950s hat has 1 minor issue: some wear to the navy blue rayon velvet covering the edges of wired understructure, at one corner only (see close-up photo).
- Crown height: wired understructure is 2.5 inches deep.
- Crown diameter: 11.5 inches from side to side and 10.5 inches form front to back.
- Inner circumference: N/A (wired understructure is somewhat flexible in size).
