Description
This pillbox-shaped 1940s tilt hat in mocha brown felt is designed to sit forward on the head, with a chin-length veil to add to your air of stylish mystery! The high, round crown is blocked with a convex, circular center. Each side of the crown is pinched into a stitched down pleat, just behind where the veil is attached. The front section of the crown’s top may have been originally blocked with small indentations; it seems to want to pucker in a bit at the front, as shown, and I have not attempted to change this. The 2 matching mocha felt tipped hatpins are included. The dotted veil is a slightly darker shade of brown than the body of the hat. This true vintage 1940s tilt pillbox hat is in very good condition, with 1 tiny moth munch at the top of the crown (see photo) and no other flaws to note.
