Description
This minty pastel green 1970s polyester jersey knit muumuu or caftan style maxi dress has a half-belt to partially cinch the waist in front, accented with sparkling clear rhinestones trim. A semi-circle of small gathers creates a pleated effect below the front of the turtleneck collar. The long sleeves are slightly tapered from shoulder to wrist. The belt threads through small slits at the side of the waist, and snaps closed in back (snaps are hidden underneath the dress when worn). The unbelted back of the maxi dress gives it a draped, cape-like, wonderfully witchy effect when the belt is worn, as shown. The jersey fabric has some stretch to it, and body of the dress flares out gently from bust to hem, but the fitted belt at the waist determines the dress size. The belt is adjustable by 2 inches (see measurements). Of course, you could use your own belt, which might increase the dress size from a small to medium, to more of a size medium to large. The dress is unlined and fastens with a nylon zipper in back. In near excellent condition, it sonly issue to note is a tiny mend at the left side waist slit, where the belt threads through.
