Description
This lipstick red velvet 1950s hat is shaped like a flat beret, with an eye-length veil in front. The rayon velvet crown is decorated with leaf appliqués in matching velvet, trimmed with black glass seed beads. A small red feather curls above the left side. The red veiling ties onto the hat with narrow red velvet ribbons. Inside, the hat is lined with red and lilac taffeta fabric. It has a grosgrain-covered wire around its inner edge, with pointed sections on each side to help keep the hat in place on your head. The tips of these wired triangles show some wear from use. The veil has one small break in it, the leaf appliqués are a bit curled up at the edges, and the feather has one tiny nick in its quill. Taking into account these minor issues, this bright red 1950s hat is still quite wearable: in good condition, and a fabulous color!
