Description
This linen-textured polka dot 1950s blouse features navy and red dots in varying sizes, on a white background. The bright red plastic buttons closing it in front add and extra pop of color! The lightweight, textured fabric feels a lot like linen, but it may be crisp cotton or cotton blend, instead. The blouse’s short sleeves are a dolman style, with no seams at the shoulders. It has a small stand collar. Vertical darts shape the bust and waist, both in front and in back. An interesting detail: while the front side of the blouse uses the fabric in the usual way, with the warp and weft threads running straight up and down, the back side of the blouse turns it on the bias. You can see the diagonal pattern in the fabric in my close-up of the blouse’s back. This early 1950s red, white, and navy blue polka-dotted top is in excellent condition, with no issues to note. I suspect that it was intended to have a slightly loose fit when worn, as reflected in my range of measurements.
- Bust: 40 inches flat, to fit up to 38 a bit loosely.
- Waist: 31 inches flat, to fit a bit loosely for 29, or up to 30 inches max.

- Length: 21.5 inches from back of neck to hem.
