Description
This late 1960s or early 70s wool knit day dress in bright red features trapunto diagonal stripes across its front side, for added visual interest. The mod-style shift dress has a round neckline, bracelet-length sleeves with fitted cuffs that button closed, and a slight flare from waist to hem. It fastens in back with a nylon zipper. The unlined, medium-weight, plain-weave wool knit fabric does have a bit of give to it—see the measurements for details about fit. The dress hem falls to a few inches above the knee on my tall mannequin—probably a mini- or knee-length, then, depending on your height. Easy to wear from day into night, and to dress up or down, this lipstick red knit wool 1960s-70s dress will also be great for traveling, since it will be unlikely to wrinkle. It is in very good condition, with one tiny mend on the right side bodice (see close-up photo).
