Description
This deadstock, authentic vintage, larger child’s- or youth-sized (or XXS small adult) 1950s felt circle skirt has the most darling malt shop or soda fountain novelty print! The salmon pink cotton felt is printed with aqua, black, brown, white, and gray designs of ice cream sodas, lollipops, ice cream sundaes and cones, and bistro tables and chairs. The wide waistband fastens with an aqua button above the side seam metal zipper. A smaller button trims the envelope flap of the single patch pocket. The skirt waist has elastic at the back section only, for a slightly adjustable fit. Labeled a vintage kid’s or tween size 12, the skirt will also fit a modern XXS adult, I’d estimate (see waist measurement). In very good condition, unworn with its original hangtag, the skirt has a tiny bit of dustiness/dinginess to its bright pink fabric from long storage, but no other issues to note. I think this will disappear with its first washing, but I have not laundered the skirt in order to preserve its original fabric finish. Great for a costumer or collector of vintage novelty prints, this deadstock 1950s circle skirt is shown here without any additional crinoline underneath. It fits at its maximum reasonable stretch on my adult-sized mannequin, who has a 24-inch waist.
