Description

Authentic late 1960s or early 70s tan suede hot pants, these leather shorts are hand-painted with birds and flowers on the 2 patch pockets. The shorts feature wide belt loops, vertical darts below the fitted waistband in front and back to shape the hips, and metal snaps at the fly closure. The colorful painted designs have the style of Mexican folk art, although the shorts have no label to specify origin. The patch pockets have darker brown leather stitching and tassels, are edged on 3 sides with a narrow band of sawtooth leather trim. The suede shorts are unlined, and in very good, totally wearable condition. There are minor scuffs to the surface of the suede from normal wear, plus 2 faint marks near the right front leg opening, and one small flaw to the upper edge of the left patch pocket. I have not attempted to clean the suede, but the shorts have no odors or other issues to note. The ultimate in hippie or festival style, these late 1960s or 70s leather hot pants will look great with tall boots!
