Description

This deadstock, purple ribbed polyester late 1960s or early 1970s frock-coat-style jacket channels that era’s look of androgynous psychedelic rocker meets Edwardian dandy. Menswear-influenced, but with a slightly curvy fit, the long and lean, double-breasted jacket features wide, notched lapels and vertical seaming front and back to shape the waist. It has large, faux pocket flaps (no pockets) and straight, cuffed sleeves. The hem is below hip length, with a deep slit at the center back. The goldtone metal buttons at the front closure and trimming the cuffed sleeve appear modeled after antique coins. The diagonally ribbed, mid-weight polyester is unlined, with a smoother texture on its reverse side. The fabric has just a bit of give to it for ease of wearing, but not enough to be called truly stretchy. Never worn, in excellent to mint condition with its original tags, this deep purple 1960s-70s jacket of blazer will look fab with skinny, flared leg jeans or bellbottoms, or paired with a mini skirt and colorful tights.
