Description

This mod-tastic, deadstock 1960s pencil skirt features a bold, black and white plaid pattern on crisp 100 percent cotton. The original black vinyl belt with a dramatically large, gold-tone metal buckle, cinches the skirt waist. Darts shape the hip area below the fitted waistband. The skirt shape is fairly narrow, with a kick pleat at the hem for easier walking—and dancing! The cotton poplin fabric is unlined. The skirt fastens in back with a metal zipper and a single button at the waistband. In very good, unworn condition, the skirt does have one very faint mark at the right front hip from its long storage (see close-up photo). This is very unlikely to be noticed in the busy pattern. I have not laundered the skirt, so the spot may or may not improve. Pair this black and white plaid, mod 1960s pencil skirt with everything from a sleeveless white top to a black cashmere sweater—it is very versatile, and seasonless! My last photo shows the skirt unpinned from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size.
