Description
A deadstock early 1960s cocktail dress in sparkling black sequins and black crepe, this unworn beauty will be the perfect LBD for your next party or event! The sleeveless, scoop-neck bodice is covered in rows of shiny black acetate sequins on its front side only. The wide waist panel is gathered into shirred side seams, creating a pleated effect. The skirt has tiny gathers where it meets the fitted waist seam, and just a bit of flare from hips to hem. The acetate and rayon blend crepe fabric is lightweight enough to be semi-sheer in the unlined skirt section. The upper bodice and waist panel are lined with black acetate taffeta. The dress fastens in back with metal zipper. In very good, near excellent condition with its original tags still attached, this classic 1960s cocktail dress is missing 2 sequins from the top of its right strap. Although the dress was never worn, it has been recently dry-cleaned for freshness.
