Description

This patchwork print cotton blouse from the early 1960s is a deadstock, unworn button-up top with a boxy, cropped fit. The blouse has a round neckline, three-quarter-length sleeves, and diagonal bust darts to slightly shape the upper bodice. The straight hem will hit at about the high hip, depending on your height. 5 pearly white plastic buttons close the blouse in front. The denim blue, red and white print, lightweight cotton broadcloth fabric is unlined. In very good condition, the blouse was never worn with its original paper tag. However, during its long storage, it did have some faintly visible, off-gassing/pale pink dye transfer, from the red to the white areas at the center front below the neckline (see close-up photos). This is fairly hard to notice, and may improve with its first washing. The blouse is designed to have a somewhat loose fit, as reflected in my range of measurements. A very versatile style, this deadstock vintage, 1960s cotton cropped top will look effortlessly chic with denim, wide-leg trousers, or a pencil skirt, as well as with more casual shorts or leggings.
