Description

This pair of late 1960s or early 1970s Western-style jean shorts by “Diamond Brand” is made of nice quality, lightweight, dark wash denim. Although the denim has a crisp feel, there is just a bit of stretch to the fabric. So the fabric is probably a cotton blend, with a little bit of polyester or nylon in the mix. These stylish jean shorts will work for a dressier look, because of the longer length inseam and dark wash. Copper metal rivets and orange contrast topstitching add a Western-wear-inspired touch to the 4 pockets, 1.5-inch belt loops, snap-front waistband and metal zipper fly. These were originally made and sized as ladies’ jean shorts, with vertical darts shaping the hips in the back yoke section. Although they do stretch a little bit elsewhere, the high-rise waistband has no stretch, so please check the waist measurement carefully. They are in excellent to mint condition. The shorts appeared like vintage deadstock (unworn) when found, but I have laundered them for freshness. My photos show the approximately size medium jean shorts both on my size small female mannequin, and on a hanger, to try give a better idea of actual size and fit.
