Description

This deadstock, dark red tooled leather 1950s men’s billfold wallet was made in Mexico. The red leather is stamped with an Aztec calendar design on one side and a man in traditional “peasant” dress on the other. Black leather whipstitching finishes the edges of the wallet. Inside, the wallet has two large, flat bill compartments, plus multiple smaller pockets, and clear plastic sections for photos and an ID. (The clear plastic sections still have the original pink paper display inserts inside.) The wallet is stamped “Mexico” on the left inner flap. In very good, near excellent, unused condition, the wallet has a few very light scuffs to the outer leather surface and one on the right inner flap from its long storage. This vintage 1950s tooled leather wallet would make a lovely gift!
