Description
This heavily carved golden yellow Bakelite bangle from the 1930s or 1940s features a scalloped design that reminds me of chrysanthemum petals, plus a leafy vine pattern. The chunky bangle is three-quarters of an inch wide, with a rounded outer surface. In very good condition, the bangle has a tiny chip on the inner surface, and also one small carving flaw near one of the leaves (see close-up photo). This is manufacturing issue, not a result of wear and tear. There are some very minor scuffs to the shiny outer surface from normal wear. The sunny golden yellow color and the pretty petals carved design create a cheerful mood!
