Description
This early 1960s sweater dress in cranberry red wool is deadstock, unworn, with its original tag still attached. The comfortable and versatile style can be dressed up or down with different accessories, to go from work to dinner out with ease! The hourglass silhouette features a round neckline, elbow-length sleeves with ribbed trim at the cuffs and diagonal seaming at the shoulders, a wide section of elastic at the fitted waist, and a fairly straight, narrow skirt. The pullover style has 3 buttons at the neckline, but no other fastenings. The smooth knit wool is unlined, so you may want a slip underneath. The fabric has some stretch to it, as you can see from my range of measurements. In excellent to mint condition, the only thing to note about this Mad Men-style, early 1960s sweater dress is that it is missing its original belt, although the thread belt loops are still present.
