Description
Size: 2.75” tall by 1.5” wide, with 1.75” long clip
Label: none
A large late 1930s or early 1940s dress clip in heavy silver metal, this dramatic clip features an oval of “carnelian” glass, prong-set in a lovely floral design. The glass “stone” is partially see-through, allowing a glimpse of the floral base underneath. This larger-sized dress clip has a strong hinge, but it is quite heavy; it will be best worn on a jacket or coat, rather than on a delicate, lightweight fabric. In very good condition, the clip has some tarnish to the back side of the silver metal setting--not seen when worn--but no other issues to note.
