Description

This rectangular silk scarf from the 1960s combines 2 types of bright green and white polka dots, for double the fun! The border of the scarf has widely spaced white dots on a green background, while the center of the scarf has tightly packed green-on-white polka dots that remind me of the tiny “Ben-Day” dots used in comic book and graphic art or Pop Art of the same era. The twill weave 100% silk fabric is lightweight, with hand-rolled edges. The rectangular shape is long enough to tie as shown, but it could also be tied in a small bow, or folded and used as a headband. In very good condition, this true vintage 1960s silk scarf has one tiny flaw: a small faded mark near one edge (see close-up photo) that is unlikely to be noticed when it is worn.
