Description
A simple and super-wearable 1950s summer dress in blue and white seersucker-striped cotton, this sleeveless sheath will be comfortable on even the hottest days. The fitted bodice has a scoop neckline with a snazzy center point, and vertical bust darts for shaping. The narrow pencil-style skirt has darts to shape the hips and a back kick pleat at the hem. Functional diagonal pockets accent the hips. The lightweight seersucker cotton fabric is unlined. The dress fastens in back with a metal zipper. In very good, near excellent condition, the dress has 2 minor issues: the tiniest bit of faint discoloration inside the back neckline (where it 2 small darts have been added), and on the inside edges of the underarms. Neither will be seen when the dress is worn. This true vintage 1950s seersucker striped day dress has belt loops, but its original belt is missing. I have shown it with a black patent belt (not included), but it would also look fabulous with a red belt—for 4th of July, perhaps?
