A classic 1960s hat style with punk-rock appeal, this black velvet mini pillbox is covered with rows of shiny, faceted black plastic beading. The hat was designed originally to sit towards the back of the head, as shown in some of my photos. However, if you choose to wear it tilted more forward, that looks lovely too! Whichever way you choose to wear this 1960s cocktail hat, you will need a few hatpins or bobby pins to secure it to the head. The plush rayon velvet fabric crown of the hat is lined with black acetate ribbed taffeta. The faceted beads are sewn on around the small crown in several concentric rows, with a few extra beads trimming the center front of the hat like a spiky rosette. The hat is in excellent condition, with no flaws to note. Whether it’s demure and ladylike, or goth diva—this 1960s beaded pillbox hat will top off your look in style!
