Description

This debonair 70s black velveteen men’s suit jacket is a slim fitting, 2-button style with long-line, notched lapels. The hem in double vented in back. The shoulders are squared and moderately padded. The jacket has 5 pockets: 2 flap pockets at the waist, an outer breast pocket, and 2 inner chest pockets. The 2 front buttons and the 3 smaller, decorative buttons on each sleeve cuff are all black-enameled gold metal, with a gold diamond shape inset. The ink black cotton velveteen jacket is fully lined with black jacquard rayon satin. Except for the outer breast pocket, the pockets are all lined with white cotton fabric. In very good condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear, the jacket has a few minor scuffs to the nap of the velveteen on the right lapel, possibly from the original owner wearing a lapel pin, and a faint reddish mark under the 2nd button (see close up photos). There are no other issues to note with this elegant black velvet 70s suit jacket or blazer.
