Description
This ribbon-knit 1950s blouse or lightweight suit jacket is made of striped tomato red and black woven rayon ribbon. The top has three-quarter-length sleeves, a small rounded collar, bust darts, and a gently shaped waist. In the back and side view photos, you can see that the top is it a bit longer in back, with a slightly blouson fit above the more fitted section from waist to hem. A section of binding tape at the inside back waist helps to keeps its shape when worn. The blouse is unlined and semi-sheer, because of the wide gauge of the knit pattern. Fastening in front with tiny snaps attached to a grosgrain ribbon placket, the top is trimmed with matching ribbon-covered, decorative buttons. This versatile 1950s blouse or jacket is in excellent condition. It will look great paired with a black pencil skirt or pant!
