Description
This stylish 1940s black cordé handbag with lucite trim features an unusual, 2-lobed shape: like a fat bow tie, or a rectangle with a waist! The bag hangs from a wide wrist strap attached to the narrowed center section. Both the silver metal zipper closure across the top of the bag and the front of the wrist strap are accented with clear lucite plaques, carved with ears of wheat designs. The body of the handbag is made of black rayon cord, with a concentric squares design on each side, and squiggle-shaped accents down its center. It is lined in black rayon faille fabric, with 2 slip pockets and a small, black fabric card case or wallet tucked inside. This lovely, lucite-trimmed black faille 1940s handbag is in excellent to mint condition, appearing hardly used, if at all.
