Description

An asymmetrical beret style early 1950s hat, this stylish beauty is made of a twill-weave silk and wool blend fabric. Simple enough for everyday wear, this side-draped beret will also look great paired with a skirt suit or cocktail dress! The hat stands up a bit above the head on the left side of the center seam, while extra fabric on the right side creates the draped design that curves down over the right ear, finished with a knotted, fringed tassel in the same black fabric. The hat is stiffened with interfacing between the outer fabric and the black muslin lining, giving it a more solid structure that will keep its shape. This chic 1950s hat resembles an asymmetrical bonnet or cap, with an overall shape that is wider from side to side than it is from front to back. Its sizing is somewhat flexible, since the crown will bend to accommodate a range of head sizes. In near excellent condition, this true vintage 1950s hat has some light discoloration on the label, but no other issues to note.
