Description
This is a deadstock darling 1950s or early 1960s cotton blouse in a Victorian-era, late 1800s riverside landscape novelty print. The lightweight, plain weave cotton is a pinkish tan with accents of fuchsia, aqua, and dark gold. The southern pastoral print features people fishing, farming, driving a horse and carriage, and strolling, plus houses, trees, steamboats, and wells. A row of pearly plastic buttons closes the blouse in front, below the V-shaped split in the rounded collar panel. The blouse has short sleeves and a banded hem, with tiny gathers adding a bit of fullness to the shape just above the band in back. I believe that the top should have a slightly boxy fit when worn, since there are no bust darts. Unworn with its original paper hangtag and size tag, this 1950s-60s novelty print blouse is in excellent to mint condition. I have 3 of these never worn vintage blouses in 3 different sizes. This one is labeled size 34.
